Four Places You Can Find Stuga Flooring in Person
Design: ViaClover | Photo: Yoshihiro Makino | Space: Goop Marin | Floor: Greta

Curious to see Stuga floors in the wild? We may not have showrooms, but you can still check out our wood flooring in beautiful storefronts and other commercial spaces. We’re spilling the details on four spots where you can walk all over our floors (literally), which styles you’ll find there, and how to swing by for a visit. If you’re looking for an excuse to get out and explore, we’ve got your next stop mapped out.

Semihandmade - Southern California

First up: Semihandmade’s flagship LA showroom. Our friends at Semihandmade offer stylish cabinets and IKEA-compatible cabinet doors that you’ve likely seen on Instagram (often paired with Stuga flooring, like in this Sarah Sherman Samuel-designed kitchen).

Drift was a fitting pick for their LA showroom. The floor’s ample character and neutral tone was the perfect complement to the modern cabinetry featured in the space. If you’re interested in our oiled floors, stop by to see the radiance and texture that sets them apart.

Goop - Northern California

Head up the coast in California and you’ll find Greta featured in a chic, Gwyneth-approved storefront. Goop’s Marin County, California store pairs our bestselling blonde floor with the brand’s signature style. Browse shelves of clean beauty products and collections of timeless clothing while admiring this floor’s elegance underfoot.

The store, designed by Orange-county based firm ViaClover, features a number of design moments. Its beauty room is anchored with a bespoke travertine sink, while the dressing rooms are outfitted with hand-painted Fromental wallpaper. But our favorite feature is–naturally–all about the flooring. While Greta is laid all along the store’s perimeter, the central room transitions to two-toned Zia Tile. We love nothing more than an iconic wood floor paired with handcrafted tile.

"Greta had all the right tones for our Marin store," said goop's Senior Director of Retail Development and Operations, Matthew Blythe. "We love the integration of natural wood elements that ground the space and connect us to the environment."

Hygge Life - Eagle-Vail, Colorado

Tucked away in the Vail Valley, you’ll find the coziest shop on our list. Hygge Life is owned by Koen van Renswoude and Alexandra Gove–author of the book, Dwell, Gather, Be: Design for Moments. The couple curates decor, furniture, and gifts inspired by the warmth and hospitality of northern European homes. For an extra dose of comfort, the store includes a café serving coffee, tea, and locally-baked pastries.

Hygge Life features not one but three Stuga floors. Fika and Sisu fit the warm ambience in the showroom, while Pepper adds rustic charm to the café’s bench and checkout area. It’s the perfect opportunity to see our floors in both herringbone and classic wide planks.
