Environmental & Air Quality Certifications
We’re rooted in Scandinavian sustainability practices. That means building floors that last 100 years, certified against the toughest environmental and indoor air quality restrictions in the world.
CARB2
CARB2 is the second phase of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) certification process. CARB2 certified products meet CARB's stringent emissions standards for formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products. Rest assured that all of our products exceed CARB2 standards.
ISO 9001 - 14001ISO 14001 is the international environmental management system, while ISO 9001 is the international quality control system. Below are the quality and environmental accreditations relating to our suppliers' main factory in Nybro.
In 1993, our supplier was the first wood floor manufacturer to obtain ISO 9001 certification, and in 1997 they also achieved ISO 14001 certification.
FloorScore®
FloorScore® is a certification program established by the Resilient Floor Covering Institute (RFCI) for hard surface flooring and flooring adhesives products that meet strict indoor air quality (IAQ) requirements. Products bearing the FloorScore label meet the indoor air quality emissions criteria of LEED, CHPS, the Green Guide for Health Care, and are recognized by a long list of healthy building programs.
LEED
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the most widely used green building rating system in the world. Available for virtually all building project types, from new construction to interior fit-outs and operation & maintenance, LEED provides a framework that project teams can apply to create healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings.
Our products are FloorScore® certified, which benefits LEED building projects. Our hardwood floors can contribute with several points in LEED 2009 and LEED V4 projects.
