A more rustic version of our popular floor Tivoli, Forest is peppered with knots and small cracks. This unstained, natural oak has a consistent color and uniform planks. The matte lacquer finish eliminates glare while protecting the wood from daily wear. Four-sided beveling at the edges ensures a classic, full plank look and feel.

No random lengths. Each plank is 5” wide and 73 ¼" long. Enjoy the look of long, full length boards throughout your floor.

    Forest round 2!

We were first introduced to Stuga 3 years ago when we redid the floors in the upstairs of our house with Forest. The floors upstairs have held up super well and add so much warmth and character to our home (see my previous flowing review). We had an excellent experience then and were excited to go with Stuga again for the 2nd part of our project to replace the floors downstairs again with Forest. This time around the products are just as gorgeous as the first time around and customer service was so kind and helpful when we ran into some shipping issues. Couldn't recommend more highly!

    GREAT quality and look!

These are the perfect floors - I went through about 30 different samples from stores all over the US and landed on this one. Couldn't be happier with the choice. I love the warm and slightly rustic look.

    Interesting unique character fun!

We installed around 1400 sf of Forest in our Eco-vated (play on renovated) 1980s ranch style River House by the banks of the North Fork Gunnison River in Western Colorado. Forest fit the bill for a hardwood floor with a rustic charm that suits the wild landscape we live in. It was pretty easy to install and fun to watch the patterns in the natural wood develop as we laid it.

    Gorgeous flooring!

We replaced all of our mismatched flooring with Forest from Stuga and absolutely love it! The color is beautiful and makes our space feel bigger and lighter. The natural wood variability looks great and hides dirt and dog hair well. I love knowing that we can sand it once or twice to refinish given lots of dog traffic in our house. Couldn't be happier with the outcome!

    Love this flooring

We installed the Forest flooring into a friend's kitchen dining and living room and also on a set of stairs. The material is high quality and the install was easy with all of the T mouldings and stair noses available. It's very durable and has held up well over the past year.

Forest FAQ's

It's fairly character heavy, meaning it will have varying sizes of knots throughout, some up to 3" in size, in addition to cracks that can run the length of each plank.

Not at all. Vacuuming and the occasional dust mop cleaning is all that's needed.

Absolutely! This floor performs wonderfully in any area of the home except a full bath.

If necessary, we recommend using Mohawk fil-stik crayons, which we include in your welcome box. The Mohawk colors we recommend for Forest are Natural Hickory Maple II, Khaki Quiet Grove, Sandstone Oak, and Natural Maple.

You can also use Rubio Monocoat for minor touch-ups. The Rubio color we recommend is called Mist 5%. Small sample bottles can be purchased at various websites.

Yes, two times. The likelihood of you ever needing to sand/refinish your floor is very low. The likelihood of you sanding your floor twice is essentially zero. The main reasons for sanding/refinishing your floors is if they've been heavily neglected and abused to the point of severe damage, or if you wish to change the color. But, sleep peacefully knowing that these floors will last a lifetime for you or the next owners of your space.

We don't consider this to be a high contrast floor. Boards can vary between muted tan to a very soft light brown. This adds an subtle organic movement to the floor which is quite calming.

It's made in Europe.
