Named after world-famous actress Ingrid Bergman, this floor carries with it a dramatic Nordic freshness and vitality that defies all expectations. Years of extensive research and development culminate in something never before achieved; an innovative ultra-matte sheen that makes the floor look like it's devoid of finish while still providing all of the protection against daily life. Ideal for families, the ease at which this floor lives in your home is simply magnificent. The tones are incredibly versatile for pairing complementary design elements as well, which makes Ingrid a timeless performer.

No random lengths, ever. Each plank is 7 ⅜” wide and 78 ¾" long. Enjoy the look of long, full-length boards throughout your home.

Refreshingly matte finish

Minimal in look but mighty in performance. With Ingrid's ultra-matte acrylic urethane, you get the natural, raw look and feel of oiled wood without the maintenance. This solvent-free finish will not yellow over time and is easy to recoat.

Best Choice for engineered wood floors!

After we spent months looking for the right flooring for our new home we accidentally came across Stuga and that was our ultimate choice! No other brand stood out in terms of the color quality and price. Highly recommended!

Dented and scratched after 3 years

I put the Stuga Ingrid floor in two bedrooms in May of 2022. In three years the floor has worn more than is acceptable. It is extremely soft and is dented throughout. These are not heavy traffic areas. They are small bedrooms used mostly for sleeping and reading. I have three boys so they do have to hold up to rough movements but these floors are not in the areas where they play. I bought them planning to eventually use studs in the entire hoys and now I have a problem. The floors are also textured and the textured and porous and the textured areas are beginning to splinter. The porous surface is beginning to show spotty areas of dirt that cannot be cleaned because these are only meant to be cleaned with a damp mop. I want to love these floors but this is a huge problem.

It's unfortunate to hear that you're not happy with your floor after a few years. Ingrid has been one of our best sellers since the beginning and this is the first time we’ve received a complaint like this. When we spoke on the phone and you described the problems that you were experiencing it further confounded me since our floors are not soft and shouldn't be splintering at all. We know that durability is subjective and everyone has different expectations but spotting softness and splintering should never be acceptable. My recommendation was for Stuga to pay for a third-party inspection by an NWFA-certified inspector. This way a neutral third party could take a deeper look to find the root cause of these issues. It's essential to have a professional guide us on whether it is indeed a manufacturing (performance) issue or simply due to heavy wear and tear improper maintenance or improper installation. If they deemed this to be manufacturing or performance-related then we would remedy that immediately in whatever method you prefer. You refused the inspection leaving us with few answers. Your refusal also meant it was difficult for us to help fix this or recommend another floor when we don't know exactly whether this floor was a good fit for this home in the first place. Regardless of whether the issue was manufacturing-related we have issued a partial refund on your order as our goal is always for customers to be satisfied with their experience. We encourage customers to test our floors before purchasing which is part of the reason why we offer free samples. Our aim is to be transparent and work alongside you to ensure this is the right fit for your home.

Highly recommend Stuga and Ingrid flooring!

We absolutely LOVE our Ingrid flooring. They are both beautiful and durable. The most important thing for me was to find a flooring that was going to hold up to life (kids dogs water weather) and Ingrid has done it all. Stugas team was a delight to work with and we couldn't recommend them as a company more. So happy with our investment.

Ingrid FAQ's

Overall it's a calming floor with light expression. Roughly 20-30% of the planks will possess a knot or two, with some rare, short cracks (4-6" maximum) presenting themselves at the end of a plank. We do not consider this to be a high color variation floor.

Not at all. Vacuuming and the occasional dust mop cleaning is all that's needed.

Yes!

Absolutely! This floor performs wonderfully in any area of the home except a full bath.

Absolutely! This floor performs wonderfully in any area of the home except a full bath.

If necessary, we recommend using Mohawk fil-stik crayons, which we include in your welcome box. The Mohawk color we recommend for Ingrid is Khaki Quiet Grove.

You can also use Rubio Monocoat for minor touch-ups. The Rubio color we recommend is a 50/50 mix of Cornsilk and Mist 5%. Small sample bottles can be purchased at various websites.

Yes, two times. The likelihood of you ever needing to sand/refinish your floor is very low. The likelihood of you sanding your floor twice is essentially zero. The main reasons for sanding/refinishing your floors is if they've been heavily neglected and abused to the point of severe damage, or if you wish to change the color. But, sleep peacefully knowing that these floors will last a lifetime for you or the next owners of your space.

We don't consider this to be a high contrast floor. Boards can vary between chalky grey to a very soft light brown. This adds an subtle organic movement to the floor which is quite calming.

It's made in a carbon negative factory in southern Sweden, which collects and recycles all wood waste into biofuel.
