Warm and Dramatic
After receiving flooring samples from Stuga and a couple of other engineered flooring companies it was clear that Stuga was selling a superior product and at a competitive price.Before placing my order I had several questions regarding the flooring I was considering. There were a few discrepancies between the manufacturers’ spec sheets and the Stuga website that needed clarification as well as questions about molding and stair nosing. And since I was shipping the flooring to Alaska I needed solid information regarding packaging shipping weights and shipping dimensions. I placed a call to Stuga and promptly received a call back from a gentleman that had a very deep knowledge of the product and quickly answered all my questions. It turns out that gentleman was Marc Bacher the founder and CEO of the company. I felt very comfortable with Marc’s answers and Stuga and placed an order for 1544 SF of Zig Zag Black Walnut flooring.About a week after placing my order online I started receiving shipping information from Jessica de Souza Stuga’s Customer Experience Director. Since the flooring moldings and nosing were shipping from different locations in the lower-48 I needed to coordinate their arrival at my freight forwarder in Tacoma for shipment to Alaska. Jessica provided all the necessary shipping information including PRO numbers arrival dates and times. 3 weeks later everything arrived in Tacoma right on time.The material arrived in Alaska with a bit of freight damage to a couple…

Walnut flooring
This flooring was perfect for our mud room and powder bath. We wanted to do a simple renovation there and used Zig Zag to cover old tile. It was easy to install and the natural walnut looks beautiful.

Overall it's a calming floor with light expression and very few knots. Some planks do possess cathedral graining which accentuates nature's hand. We do not consider this to be a high color variation floor.

Not at all. Vacuuming and the occasional dust mop cleaning is all that's needed.

Absolutely! This floor performs wonderfully in any area of the home.

Absolutely! This floor is approved for installation in half and full baths.

If necessary, we recommend using oils by Rubio Monocoat for minor touch ups. The Rubio color we use is named Walnut. Small sample bottles can be purchased at various websites if needed. Unfortunately, we do not sell their touch up oils at this time.

No, but you will will never need to thanks to its timeless color.

Boards can vary between muted caramel to deep brown. This adds an subtle organic movement to the floor which is quite calming.
